Masvidal Claims He Would ‘Break’ McGregor

After his epic KO of Ben Askren last Saturday night, Jorge Masvidal appears firmly in the picture for a Welterweight title shot. If he can’t get a title fight next up, Masvidal says he’d be happy to take the ‘easy fight’ of Conor McGregor.

It is essentially the perfect time for Masvidal to make this challenge. His stock is at an all-time high and I could see this fight garnering some interest. That said, you have to wonder whether McGregor is waiting for a bigger name.

Anthony Smith Calls Out Rockhold

Luke Rockhold continues to cop it from everyone after his loss to Jan Blachowicz last Saturday. His newest critic is Light Heavyweight contender Anthony Smith, who claims that Rockhold looked like a ‘coward’ in defeat.

This comes after Dana White said that he thought Rockhold should retire and take up modeling full-time. Having not been the same since his infamous loss to Michael Bisping, a Rockhold retirement in the near future wouldn’t surprise me.

Faber ‘Hasn’t Skipped a Beat’

Despite 3 years out of the UFC, Urijah Faber is claiming he hasn’t skipped a beat ahead of his co-main event clash at UFC Sacramento. Faber admits he was interested in Kron Gracie as his return opponent, but is more than happy to fight Ricky Simon.

As a neutral observer, it did appear that Faber was slowing down towards his initial retirement in 2016. Entering Saturday’s fight as a big underdog, he has every chance to prove the doubters wrong.
