Magny Fails USADA Test

Neil Magny has failed a USADA test and will not be competing at UFC Rochester this weekend. He tested positive for the banned substance Di-Hydroxy-LGD-4033 and will be scratched from his fight with Vicente Luque. Magny took to Instagram to announce that he will cooperate with USADA to work out exactly how this happened.

This is a big blow to the UFC Fight Night 152 card, which is headlined by Rafael dos Anjos and Kevin Lee. The UFC is on the lookout for a replacement, although it will be difficult to find someone of similar quality.

Jones Fears Cormier Rematch Won’t Take Place

Jon Jones has insisted that he won’t fight Daniel Cormier at Heavyweight and doesn’t think Cormier has what it takes to drop to 205 pounds. He says the weight cut will be too brutal for Cormier, who will either retire or continue at Heavyweight after his UFC 241 bout with Stipe Miocic.

Jones does make a good point in the sense that Cormier would have to cut a ridiculous amount of weight to fight at 205 pounds again. Unfortunately, it appears more and more likely that we won’t get an epic trilogy fight between these two men.

Holloway vs Edgar Set for UFC 240

Despite an impressive win by Alex Volkanovski over Jose Aldo this past weekend, UFC officials have decided to give a Featherweight Title Shot to Frankie Edgar. He will meet current champion Max Holloway at UFC 240 on July 27. Holloway returns to

Featherweight after a relatively disappointing attempt to win the Lightweight title.

Both of these men have storied UFC careers, with Holloway sporting a particularly impressive 16-4 record. Turning 38 years of age later this year, this may be Edgar’s last real shot at the Featherweight crown.
