Ladd vs De Randamie to Headline UFC Sacramento?

It appears as though Aspen Ladd and Germaine de Randamie are set to headline UFC Sacramento in July. The two female bantamweights have verbally agreed to a bout on the same night as the Urijah Faber return fight. Ladd is currently the #3 women’s bantamweight contender, while de Randamie is just behind her at 4.

They’ve both been in tremendous recent form, winning 8 of their combined 9 UFC bouts. This sets up a particularly intriguing fight that could have a huge impact on the future of this division.

Holloway Keen for More Lightweight Bouts

Even after falling in his Lightweight debut to Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway isn’t ruling out a future bout at that weight class. His performance was far from shameful and Holloway thinks he has some unfinished businesses at 155 pounds. He feels as though he’d be among the top contenders at Lightweight, which is probably spot on.

Any move to 155 pounds will have to wait though as he fights Frankie Edgar at UFC 240 on July 27 in Canada. Should he win that, a bout against undefeated Aussie Alex Volkanovski also looks likely.

Cyborg vs Spencer Looking Likely for UFC 240

After a fair amount of hype, Cris Cyborg is finally set to make her UFC comeback. It seemed likely that she would exit the UFC earlier this year, however a bout against Felicia Spencer was too much to ignore. A UFC source close to the negotiations has confirmed that this fight is very close to taking place.

The likely landing spot for this fight is on UFC 240, which would be a nice complement to the Holloway and Edgar main event. Just 6 months after her brutal defeat to Amanda Nunez, it’ll be interesting to see how Cyborg responds.
