Jon Jones just can’t seem to stay out of trouble, now being charged for battery after a strip club incident in April. The current UFC Light Heavyweight champion claims he wasn’t aware of this until late on Sunday evening. Jones is accused of pulling a stripper to her lap and kissing her neck, before touching her inappropriately. If Jones faces any repercussions from the UFC, we’ll keep you updated as this story develops.
Arlovski Apologises for Homophobic Slur
Another major UFC talking point after last week’s fight night was a homophobic slur used by Andrei Arlovski. After defeating Ben Rothwell by unanimous decision, Arlovski called his critics ‘fa*gots’ in his post-fight interview. He has since apologized for the comments, saying that they were just made in the heat of the moment. While this did upset a lot of people, I have to think Arlovski is telling the truth here.
Holloway Ready for Redemption in Title Bout
After his loss to Dustin Poirier last time out, Featherweight Champion Max Holloway is ready to redeem himself this Saturday. Having failed in his quest to become the champ-champ, Holloway will now defend his Featherweight title against Frankie Edgar in the UFC 240 main event.
Edgar himself has a lot on the line, with this likely being his last shot at the title as a 37-year-old vet. Holloway enters the fight as a very strong -400 favorite and you’d have to think he redeems himself here.
