Felicia Spencer In Line for Cyborg Fight?

Despite just making her UFC debut this past Saturday, Felicia Spencer was very impressive in her submission of Australian Megan Anderson. As the former Invicta FC champion, she definitely has pedigree at the top of this sport. While she was unsure about who her next fight might be against, Cris Cyborg has emerged as a potential competitor.

Cyborg has been notoriously selective about her opponents in the past, but this does seem to represent a lucrative opportunity. Fan interest would definitely be high and the UFC would have a great platform to cash in on these two marketable fighters.

Pereira Manages Impressive Finish in Debut

Having been 22-9 in his lengthy MMA career, Michel Pereira finally made his long-awaited UFC debut on Saturday. He fought with a ton of passion and emotion, finishing opponent Danny Roberts in the process. His delight was obvious, putting on a special breakdancing display for the crowd before the fight even began!

The knockout itself was absolutely delightful, a picture-perfect flying knee that put his opponent to sleep. Given how exciting his UFC debut was, Pereira definitely has a strong future if he can keep managing these impressive results.

Volkanovski Fortunately Returns Home

We brought you a story last week about how Aussie Alex Volkanovski was stuck in a Chilean hospital after a scary infection. He has fortunately now been cleared to leave, returning to Australia and celebrating his win over Jose Aldo. This is great news for the Featherweight division, with Volkanovski 20-1 in his MMA career and an undefeated 7-0 in the UFC.

Volkanovski’s next fight will likely be against the winner of Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar for the Featherweight title. Given what he accomplished against Aldo in Brazil, it’s very tough to count this man out.
