After retiring in December of 2016, Urijah Faber is planning to return to the octagon in stunning fashion. He revealed in an interview with Dan Hardy that he already has a fight lined up and believes it’s a good matchup. While a date hasn’t been announced, the early guess is that it’s at UFC on ESPN+ 13 on July 13 in Sacramento.
Now 40 years of age, Faber has a very solid career MMA record of 34 wins and 10 losses. He only went 10-6 in the UFC however, failing to claim that elusive Bantamweight title.
Aljamain Sterling Ready for Huge UFC 238 Bout
‘Funk Master’ Aljamain Sterling is incredibly excited ahead of his bout with Pedro Munhoz at UFC 238. While he knows that his grappling style isn’t for everyone, he has a real chance at a title shot with a win here. He claims he won’t be making any adjustments now, continuing with the style that got him here.
Sterling has a very solid 17-3 career MMA record to date, including 9 wins in 12 UFC bouts. Their fight will take place on the prelim card for UFC 238, however it will likely serve as a de facto #1 contender bout.
Nick Newell to Make Statement in Return Fight
While we haven’t heard much from Nick Newell of late, you can expect that to change in the near future. He made headlines overnight, claiming that he still wants the big UFC fights. He’s returning for a UFC Fight Pass bout next up, which is a far cry from where he used to be.
Now 33 years of age, he doesn’t have much time left if he wants to make it to the top. His bout against Antonio Castillo on Friday’s CES MMA 56 event will be the first step in the journey.
