Clinical Dos Anjos Finishes Lee

Rafael dos Anjos earned himself a well-deserved win against Kevin Lee in the UFC Fight Night 152 main event. The Brazilian wore Lee down, ultimately going for an impressive submission finish late in the 4th round. Dos Anjos used his excellent cardio to wear down his opponent, weathering the early storm to comfortably win late.

The former Lightweight champion has now won 4 of his 6 Welterweight fights, while his opponent has lost 3 of his last 4. Dos Anjos now looms as a top contender in the Welterweight division and is probably only 1 fight away from a title shot.

Oliveira and Spencer Deliver Impressive Finishes

Charles Oliveira finally ended his longstanding rivalry with Nik Lentz after a dominant win on Saturday night. His second-round knockout was one of the highlights of the night and it got a lot of people talking on Twitter. Given his strong form of late, Oliveira deserves more talk in the title conversation.

Felicia Spencer also deserves a ton of credit for coming out in her UFC debut and making Megan Anderson tap out. This was a very early finish as well, coming in just the 4th minute of the very first round. While it’s too early to be sure, she could definitely loom as a strong contender in the Women’s Featherweight division.

Heinisch Manages Surprise Decision Win

Ian Heinisch surprised many UFC fans on Saturday night with a comeback win over Brazilian Antonio Carlos Junior. Junior had a 5-fight win streak entering the bout and was dominant in the first round.

To his credit, Heinisch managed to weather this early storm and grind his way to a 29-28 victory. Heinisch is now 13-1 in his MMA career and has strong potential to climb the ranks of the Middleweight division.
