Faber Returns with a Bang

You couldn’t have scripted things any better for Urijah Faber on Saturday night. The ‘California Kid’ returned with a bang, registering an impressive finish of Ricky Simon after just 46 seconds, in front of his home fans in Sacramento.

Faber is now an impressive 34-10 in his MMA career, going 11-6 in the crucible of the UFC. After the fight, he professed his love for fighting in Sacramento and even had the audacity to call out Henry Cejudo!

De Randamie Gets Controversial KO

The main event turned out to be a relatively anti-climactic affair, with Germaine de Randamie knocking out Aspen Ladd in just 16 seconds. De Randamie managed a very impressive punch to knock Ladd down early, putting her in prime position to finish.

However, many fans feel as though referee Herb Dean should’ve given Ladd more time, as she looked close to getting up. De Randamie is now 6-1 in UFC bouts and has a real shot at getting a Women’s Bantamweight title bout.

Emmett Finishes Bektic

Out of all the results on Saturday night, Josh Emmett’s win over Mirsad Bektic might be the most impressive. He entered the bout as a relatively substantial underdog, however he managed another knockout late in the first round.

Emmett is now 15-2 in his MMA career, with 6 of those wins coming in the UFC. While he isn’t right at the top of the Featherweight contenders list, he enters the conversation with this performance.
